Renko charts

Post by oldmate » Mon May 20, 2019 11:19 am

Has anyone ever experimented with renko charts?

I've always found them really interesting, and potentially useful but never explored it much. The thing I don't like about them is that you lose the time factor aspect of the charts. For some, they claim that this isn't important, but the amount of orders which are being filled.

Curious to hear anyones experience with it.

I'm experienced with Renko , my friend,

Their problem is not "the time factor"
but volatility.

Time factor on spot market is important for wavers,
but not for supply/demand guys, like me and You , I suppose.

Because of my perfect english i'll give You example

2019 September - December Euro ATR was arround 80 pips
and now its arround 50 pips, so bricks, should be different size in different periods of price developing

Traidingview has renko charts based on ATR , but they have real problems with painting reinko bricks
e.g if I look daily reinko EURUSD I do not see brick around 1.144676 , which should be drown 2018-03-20

PS
If You do not understand me, I can explain in zoom, and after that You can write here explanation in good english or ozzie here :)

Thanks Pavel.

Can you elaborate of the volatility comment. If you're trading 4hr or daily then surely that won't matter?

Did you create a different strategy to trade renko, or can you apply the supply demand method the same?

yea i liked renko; but it was too much of a hassle for me keeping proper brick size for all pairs and all currencies... so i just count waves and trade fibs now
