I spent some time reading and watching those videos but I could not get any results from my testing.

How were you able to profit 95% in a day when there are only 2 major sessions opening per day?

I must be missing something here, anyone else have a look at this and got it to work?

these results are of over 10 days

and there are 2 days in a session; new york and london are more than enough to give you enough breakout trades

the logic is simple; if you have watched the videos it says

lets say you are doing 15 min breakout

so you wait first 15 min and mark the range of the price during the first 15 min;; and then you will take the trade when the price breaks that range and closes... the logic is simple; you are trying to catch the volatility which comes during the start of the session

you should watch the videos again ; these are much more useful than anil margin course you invested in or read his book https://master.tus.io/files/a04949f644c ... kJKFf2.3vQ the logical trader; which is worth its weight in gold itself

combine this method ; with moving averages and elliot wave counting and you will have a winning method with an edge

trust me i have tested loads of methods and this methods gives best R/R ratio and peace of mind

One tip

mark fisher; talks about C and D targets etc which I dont use; i use fibonacci levels for my targets (learnt from robert c miner book and course)

so i am just using mark fisher's opening range breakout to enter into trade

Ok, thanks for the response. This is exactly what I back tested, it seems too simplistic to work and I didn't get consistent results with it.

Often with the NY open price will push in the same direction as the London open for an hour or so before reversing the other way.

The fact that you got those results demonstrates differently, so I'll review it again.

if it reverses; then u simply need to change the direction

also have some moving avgs for your bias and do some wave counts

IMHO, You haven't missed nothing, my friend.
ODR cannot be used in forex markets, cause ODR strategy is bias based
and bias is not real force in forex ( maximum 2-3 times in year ).

And You do not trade shares, as I see

Not a good day for me today; as i went away from screen only to see price reverse all the way up;.. i was up USD 2000 in profit; closed only on USD 500 profit

IMHO, You haven't missed nothing, my friend.

and bias is not real force in forex ( maximum 2-3 times in year ).

And You do not trade shares, as I see

i think opening range can be used on anything which moves; i prefer to trade few pairs as i dont like to follow 10 different pairs and juggle many balls all at onces

Saamwerk , possibly You miss that :

i do ACD with moving avgs and my elliott wave counting (not anil margin;s scam waves) to day trade

Keep in mind, that Vlad is still experimntinhg

if myfxbook gives us right results
from "opening range breakouts strategy",
there is only "opening range" (but not TP, SL, Reverse, etc...)

So it's very possible, that Vlad's amazing results are mostly based on his understanding of Gold movement.
but "opening range breakouts" helps him to trade intraday

today i broke the rule and committed cardinal sin

because gold was at weekly highs; and we were in supposedly abc correction to down from the top

when ORB broke above today during london and Ny session; instead of going long; i shorted it (because of my bias due to elliott wave) and now i have damaged the account

elliott wave is a dirty bias which i have to learn to keep away from me

i dont know if i will be able to get out alive from the bad short

With MA I can get a positive return over a month, around 10%. But for 2% return and a 50% win rate I'm not sure if I can do it psychologically. I prefer to have a strategy with a higher win rate.

Can you please share some tips, because there has to be something I'm missing here. What's your strat?

actually my win rate is higher;

the win rate shows less because initially i was refining this method when i started so i used to experiment

also i blew the account also when i was trying to save a trade (broke the rule)

since then i am trying to follow the rules and hopefully u will see now consistent gains

i think i have pretty much nailed it

also try doing 15 min NY session breakout with london session breakout - keep your bias on mas

it should work todays range in gold ... buy above solid close above 32 - sell below 24 till 17

Oldmate im with you I had a lot of trades which gave A signals both long and short and then reversed for a loss I had very successful trades and is in profit but think i am missing something aswell Would greatly appreciate it if Vlad could help us out

I am helping a person with this type of trading,

and can say for sure
2% drawdown become to 20% than to 200% , than to ... .

... there's no limit!
